In a joint communiqué issued from Istanbul during the 51st session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, Arab states strongly condemned Israel’s recent military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. The statement reflects deep concern over escalating violence and its threat to regional stability.

The ministers called for the immediate resumption of diplomatic negotiations to reach a comprehensive agreement on Iran’s nuclear program. They warned that Israeli actions are driving the Middle East toward heightened conflict and tension, undermining peace efforts.

The communiqué demanded influential international intervention to halt Israel’s aggressive policies and stressed the importance of respecting nuclear facilities under International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) safeguards. The ministers reaffirmed adherence to the United Nations Charter principles, particularly the prohibition of the use or threat of force in international relations.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, the Arab Foreign Ministers emphasized the need to free the Middle East from nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction, advocating for lasting peace and security in the region.

This unified Arab stance, issued from Istanbul where the OIC convened amidst rising tensions, underscores the collective rejection of unilateral military aggression and the pursuit of diplomatic, multilateral solutions.
